Rate limits

How rate limiting works and what to do when you hit a 429.

Rate limits vary by endpoint. Sensitive ones are throttled (login, for example), while many carry no limit.

When you exceed a limit you get 429 with a Retry-After header — wait for the number of seconds it gives before retrying. Each endpoint's page states its exact limit.
